The International Credit Transfer Program is a program offered to international partner universities as a reciprocal collaboration or to the general public. The Chemistry Education and the Chemistry Undergraduate Study Program synergize to organize an interdisciplinary International Credit Transfer. Through this program, it is expected to improve the quality of education which has implications for improving the quality of graduates. Furthermore, the curriculum of this program will be designed to be inclusive and can be followed by students from various study programs in the fields of science and science education. In particular, foreign students who are preparing to conduct research in the field of chemistry education especially in relation with the context-based chemistry learning using local issues. As for strengthening chemistry content that is useful for designing context-based learning, lectures related to life and social aspects are designed through 'Chemistry Education Research for improving Science Relevance'.
The Chemistry Education Research Instrument course equips students in the practice of developing the test and non-test instruments to be used in chemistry education research that meet the requirements of good instruments including the validity and reliability analysis using certain software. Through this course, students not only trained to prepare general test instruments, but also the context-based chemistry problems using local context.
Chemistry Visualization for Learning is a course that studies the use of software to develop animation and simulation-based media to explain and visualize the concept of multiple representations in chemistry, basic virtual laboratory concepts, and augmented reality for chemistry learning. The chemistry learning media in this course are prepare based on the local issues context.
This course aims to present the relevance of learning context to personal, social, and professional contexts. This course will discuss the perspective of context-based such as in the science and chemistry learning, the characteristics of context-based learning, modelling of context-based learning, the position of context in designing chemistry learning, the use of SSI and vocational expertise as context, and challenges in designing context-based learning. The context that used in this course is based on the local context.
This course provides students with experience in analysing chemical concepts related to the interaction of chemicals with the biotic, abiotic, and social environment. Lecture materials focus on the sources, reactions, transportation, effects and condition of chemical species in the air, water, and soil environment, as well as the influence of human activities on these processes. Lectures are carried out with discussions, demonstrations, and assignments that provide students with experience in solving environmental problems. The environmental problems are related to the local context issues.
This course discusses the notion of biotechnology, the history of biotechnology, and the manipulation of DNA technology. The benefits and applications of biotechnology also discussed in this course. The applications of biotechnology are prepared based on the utilization of local context potential.
This course discusses various aspects of chemistry in the design and discovery of new materials as an important role for the synthesis of future functional materials. It advances the understanding of how a material's history affects its structure, properties and performance. This course emphasizes the logical and scientific mastery of material and the ability to use scientific methods to solve problems faced by students. The material chemistry that discussed in this course are related to the local context materials.
Educational Research Methodology is an educational development course that studies the principles of research methodology which includes the problems, objectives and benefits of educational research, types of educational research, research methods in quantitative approaches and introduction to qualitative methods, developmental research, sampling techniques, research variables, and design preparation of chemistry educational research. The problems that are prepared to be solved through this course related to the local context issues.
