Essay Writing 2019

This course is aimed to develop students’ ability in putting ideas into a short essay. The students are expected to be able to produce coherent and grammatically correct essay of various types; descriptive essay, narrative essay, opinion essay, comparative and contrast essay, and cause and effect essay. Course assessment include weekly assignment and final test. Students are required to submit one long essay concerning a certain topic in the end of the course. Critical thinking, sensitivity towards social phenomena, creativity, discipline, and honesty are among skills and attitudes which are to be developed by this course.
